SEA JAPAN 2008 - 9-11 april 2008

SEA JAPAN 2008 is the established biennial event in Japan that serves the shipping industry. The SEA JAPAN exhibition brings together buyers and sellers of marine equipment, shipbuilding technology and products and services for the shipbuilding industry from Japan and around the world. A full program of technical workshops, seminars and forums, as well as evening functions and networking events, make Sea Japan the most important meeting event in Japan for the nation's maritime community.

Ship Tek 2008 - 29 april 2008

International Conference on Shipbuilding and Conversion Technology - ShipTek 2008 was inaugurated on 29th April 2008, Tuesday, 9.00 am at Hotel Taj Residency. Mr. Noboru Ueda, Chairman & President, Class NK, Japan, lit the lamp and inaugurated the prestigious event organized by Marine BizTV and Aries Marine.Over 200 delegates from all part of the world marked their presence for the biggest maritime convergence in South Asia.

ShipTek Expo 2008, the exhibition showcasing the latest technology and trends in the Shipbuilding industry was also inaugurated on 29 April 2008 at Hotel Taj Residency at 1.00 pm. All stalls were open till 6.00 pm and will resume the next day. ShipTek Expo constituted exhibitors from all part of the globe like Keppel O&M, Singapore; Class NK, Japan; MSI, Singapore; Walport International, UK; Aries Marine, UAE; Zebec Marine, India; Transas, Russia; Marine BizTV, UAE, Fogtec, Germany; GL, Germany and Pacific Technology, UAE.

The Annual Maritime Video Awards for the year 2008 was held at the port city of Cochin in the majestic ‘Le Meridien’ on 30 April 2008. Fifteen award categories came under the People’s Choice Awards and eleven categories came under the Maritime Excellence Award. Transas won the award for Best Visual Effects. The award was Presented by Mr. John Mathews Executive Director, LOTS Shipping Ltd, India and the Award was Received By Capt.Tarun K Mathur Deputy General Manager,Transas Marine Pacific Pte Ltd, Singapore.
